I just love this little bandaid with a heart! So I used it as my background paper and stamped the prescription pad with the prescription in it. Love it! I also colored with my copic markers. I have a whole 5 markers and I actually had the right kind of colors.

My Color Book

I made this color book to help me utitlize my coloring agents better while crafting. It shows my ink pads, markers, paints, sprays, glitter glues and liquid pearls. I organized by color and a tab on the side for easy access, and then I used my bind-it-all to bind it together. I used the star stamp from Oh Christmas Tree set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps.

I made this notebook back in December, but I don't think I ever shared it! The stamp is from GRS Diner's Club Kit from December Let's Celebrate. I love this sentiment! I paired it with a crochet flower I got from etsy and a circle of gems. The goal was for it to be very girly. One of my favorite parts is that the inside is PINK lined paper! February GRS DT Challenge

Hi! So the fun challenge for this month was to make a 6x6 recipe. I made a mistake! I did an 8x8! Whoops! I love this Ground Turkey Lettuce Wrap recipe and thought it would be a perfect one to have in my collection! I used the Original stamp from the December 2011 Diner's Club kit and then a swirly from So Swirly. The papers are by Cosmo Cricket Early Bird. I made some cute little princess Valentine tags with the GRS set A Little Love. These little girls are just so cute! I grabbed anything pink, red, or purple and made these tags. Had to use some glitter and then I used a heart brad for the wand. Love em!

I made the card first and then the sketch. My favorite part is that you get a chance to whip out your washi tapes you have and add a strip on!

February Diner's Club Preview!!!

Hi!! Happy day! My mom is coming into town today, so I'm super excited! Plus, I have these awesome stamps to show you today! Today is the February Diner's Club Preview. For more information about joining the Diner's Club click here.

I wanted to do a CAS card today to show. I love the sentiment and the adorable images to go along with it. I stamped in black and colored in the images. I stamped the rainbow on some white felt and cut out the clouds to give them some texture. I colored in my gold with Candle Glow Smooch Spray so it has this great glitteriness to it. I also splattered a little on the card too. Plus a Crate Paper rub-on to ground it.

Inside the card, I stamped the sentiment and then stamped again on a scratch paper and cut out the side. I used it to mask it to stamp the rainbow coming out of the sentiment. Plus the pot of gold in the corner.

Hope your Thursday is going better than mine. I'm ready for this stomach bug thing to stop going around. #2 didn't sleep so well last night resulting in a cranky child and mother. Anyways... I used the Mojo Monday Challenge 221 from 12/26 and a SCS challenge to use beads, but I am quite delayed in posting this card for either challenge. Oh well. The papers are by Scenic Route Metropolis. I am going to Organize

One of my resolutions is to get my craft room organized. I decided to take this webinar class to help keep me on track. I have rewards for the different things that I accomplish and I made a benefits and rewards scrapbook page to remind me! The page is 8x8 size using some of those pretty things I need to organize. So some before pictures of my craft room. A little disclaimer (to help me feel better) I switched dressers at the beginning of November and this dresser is maybe only half full. I had a craft fair and then holidays. For Christmas, my SIL gave me a bix box of craft stuff that is on the floor in there. I have people to donate my purged items to and have already added some cute dimensional stickers to my purge box! Week 1 and I'm feeling good (isn't that always the way). Now I just have to make it through 8 more! But at the end I'm having a Pizza Party with Rootbeer Freezes! Yum! Now I just gotta work that plan.

FWF Friends are the Best

My good friend's birthday is today. So I made her this birthday card to house the gift card our other friend picked up. We went out to Panera Bread last night to celebrate. Love the way this pop up gift card holder works. Very fun! This also works for the Unity Challenge for this month about Gift Giving.

Old Faithful Geyser in Calistoga. Never new there was one there until recently. So we took a little family trip and went out there.

There were these cute little babies that had been born a few hours before this picture. They are fainting goats.

In My Freezer

My SIL and I were going to make freezer meals, but both our families were sick and we didn't want to trade sicknesses. So it is all in my freezer...

I made:

~a double batch of Pastor Ryan's Chicken Tikka Masala. I made the recipe up until adding the cream, I did not add the cream and cilantro, but I put the chicken in and then put it my freezer. When I heat it up, I will add the cream and cilantro. Yum!

~ BBQ Chicken - Crock Pot (2 bagged meals)

~ 2 small bags of chicken tenders (6 tenders each) coated in Cheddar & Cracker Chicken

~ Top right you can see the foil container, in it is potatoes and carrots with a butter and olive oil mix and herbs with the Cheddar & Cracker Chicken on to of them.

~ 2 beef fajita packs: skirt steak in a marinade and separately onions and bell peppers with evoo and herbs

~ 2 lbs. potatoes split into 1lb bags each for a honey roasted red potato side

~ 2 lbs. carrots (also split) in a orange-glazed candied carrot side

I did this over 2 days and am super excited about these meals over the upcoming months of tax season!

Made this last night. I"m crazy about this card; I just love how it turned out! I used the January Diner's Club Set Sealed with a Kiss (pictured below). BTW, Gourmet Rubber Stamps is having a sale of 40% off the stamps. I used the current sketch challenge on SCS. No patterned paper only cardstock. The brown trim is by Doodlebug. I used Staz-On Brown and Distress ink Worn Lipstick. I colored the image with Koh-i-noor colored pencils. TFL!

Our challenge for Gourmet Rubber Stamps this month was to make a birthday card with this color scheme!

Here is my card! I used the stamps from December's Diner's Club set Let's Celebrate. I made this crinkle ribbon with some old seam binding from Steve's grandma that had been in the seat of her sewing machine. Plus on the bottom is some handmade paper by Provo Craft. Add a little distress ink and distress the edges and there you have it! Thanks for stopping by!

My oldest and I went to the Nutcracker last night in San Francisco. It was magical! I had a card with glitter drying in my craft room while I was gone. I finished putting it together when I got back...I did not like it. So this one happened this morning. I love it! None traditional colors and the gold sparkle snowflakes!!! Love! I used the November Diner's Club Set Seasons Greetings by Gourmet Rubber Stamps. I stamped the sentiment and then the bough was stamped around the sentiment. What we are growing in December.

Yep, it is December and Rebecca planted these plants maybe a month or so ago. I think this top one is lettuce (feel free to correct me if I"m wrong). The second picture I think is a melon and the last is either beans or sugar snap peas. I had seed packets on a shelf in my garage and Rebecca decided they needed to be planted. So there you have it. My oldest has a green thumb and I stay away or I will kill them with my black thumb. :)

Here is the peek at the Diner's Club set for December! I made this birthday card with two of the stamps from it. They are so cute!!

This card was inspired by this card by Thoughts of a Cardmaking Scrapbooker. Very different but I had looked at it and liked the layout and so I felt I needed to give credit.

Next I made this little Christmas notepad with the stamp set "Oh Christmas Tree". I kept it simple because I wanted it to be able to go in a purse or bag and not get caught or torn up on stuff. This Christmas set it so cute!

Lighting isn't great on this pic, sorry. That's how it goes somedays once we hit the winter, huh? Well another cute Stick Chick and her family! Pick up this cutie stamp at the Gourmet Rubber Stamp website.
I made the focal image vintage looking by using clear crackle over it and vintage photo distress ink over it. Plus some music paper for the background to continue with the vinatge-ness. Prima flowers with glitter and dew drop centers add some fun dimension and some green gems for accent along the scalloped trim.

Happy Halloween Trick or Treat Blog Hop!!

Happy Halloween everyone! So excited for this fun blog hop with Gourmet Rubber Stamps! Halloween isn't just for the kiddos. We have a treat for you today.

First up is my card! Stamped with Hallows Eve stick chick, I paper pieced the pumpkin and popped it up. I also paper pieced the dress and tombstone. Then I sponged black ink all around to make it a dark night.

So here is the treat: two stamps, Putting up the Lights and Star on Tree Stick Chick cling stamps. Wonderful rubber stamps on cling foam that cling to any acrylic block. To win all you have to do is post a comment on my blog!

Last week we went to San Francisco to the California Academy of Sciences. We had lots of fun. We saw penguins, albino alligator, starfish, butterflies, macaws, fish, sharks, eels, snakes and lots more! The kids loved it. Rebecca loved touching the starfish, Nina wouldn't put her hand in.

I am so excited! My first official post for Gourmet Rubber Stamps design team! Woo hoo! Today we are showing off the November Diner's Club Set called Season's Greetings. There are some lovely stamps in this set! Click here to find out more about the Diner's Club.

First up this card has two of the stamps featured on it. I love the holly sprig; it is so pretty! I stamped the holly in Peeled Paint distress ink and then add dimensional pearls for the berries. Some glitter, some distress ink, a dry emboss and wa-lah! (feel free to click to enlarge the picture.)

Next up...I had so much fun with this card. When I saw the snowglobe image...I just knew I wanted to make a shaker card with it! I stamped the image twice on to white cardstock. Swimming in TX

We went swimming everyday while we were in Texas. My parents would heat the pool up just a little to keep a comfortable temperature. The kids loved it!

Dallas Arboretum

While in Texas we went to the Dallas Arboretum. They were having a fairy tale castle thing going on. First up here is Little Mermaid throne we are sitting in.

Then the Cinderella village with pumpkin houses and her carriage and face painting!

Today's card I made with cardstock, Unity stamps, and Distress ink. Plus I added a ribbon and some glitter glue. I made the back ground by stamping in Versamark and embossing with clear ep before adding the distress ink (brick red and walnut stain). Then I stamped a few more leaves in Walnut Stain. I used Antique Linen distress ink around the sentiment. TFL!

I made this card by casing a Diva. Which Diva? Amy of Pickled Paper Designs! Here is her card. I have the exact same paper pack, but not the same embossing folder or stamps, but it doesn't have to be exactly the same right? What type of creativity would that be? :) Anyways, so I'm entering this card for Verve Stamps Diva Dare for September.

Then while blog hopping around today with Unity's FWF, I found Scrapbooker's Paradise and there challenge right now is to distress. Well I've got Tim Holtz's Distress inks all over this card, antique linen and Walnut Stain.

Hi my Flair Friends! Happy Friday! I made this card a few weeks ago for my cousin who got married last week. A wedding card? Yep! On both there save the date and invite had bicycles, so I continued the theme with the Congrats card I made them.

I realized last week during FWF that I can enter this card in the ATU challenge #40 going on for a one layer card! Yay!

Happy Friday and FWF! I have this card here for your today that I am pleased with how it turned out. I used three different stamps. Two on that little tag. I made this card today for the KOTM sketch and as I was putting it up I realized that just the sentiment is from a KOTM. I really wanted to use the sentiment and I really liked it with this butterfly. I used some new paper I got with my mom in Texas. It is lovely! Happy Friday everyone!

Summer Farmer Markets

We love to go to the Farmer's Market during the summer in the evenings. We've had a great time going with friends lately. We walk around, buy some yummy fruit and sometimes other food, hang out in the grass, listen to music and let the kids run around. Just perfect.
