Do I hear a 350 350 350, 345, 350...
Our little family went to a house auction this weekend in San Mateo. Steve and I are trying to get the feel of what they are like to see if this may be a viable option of getting into the housing market here. Two weeks previous we went to the open house and checked out 4 of the 80+ houses being sold at this auction. It was really cool to see and amazing how much cheaper we could possibly buy a house. After the auction, we were hanging out in the middle of this shopping/apartments area were there was a creek in the middle of the street. Rebecca and I were playing in the grass. Grass is yummy!
I found some pictures at Steve's parent house on Thursday of last week and it was taken back in January. I love this picture especially because Rebecca actually looks like me! ME! Not like Steve, but ME! We are related!
On Friday, in the morning Rebecca took her nap and she pulled the blanket up over her face to go to sleep. Such a funny position to sleep in!
What can I say, I love the naked baby pictures!

Tubby Time (but without Tinky Winky)
Rebecca had her first sitting up bath time Tuesday, right after feeding her peas for the first time! It was super messy like all the previous feedings. However, on Wednesday, we tried again. This time I did it before her bottle and she did very well. She did keep hitting my hand and peas would go flying but the ones that made it to her mouth went down!
My new father (not to be confused with the old father who is actually younger) is retiring this month. On Thursday his work invited the family for a luncheon at a mexican restaurant that is actually located at a gas station. Rebecca and cousin Dayne had matching dresses for the occassion. The invites were sailing themed, though that was the only thing, except for the adorable girls.

Happy Birthday Bear!
Hope you have a great birthday today! Mom and I went to the park with friends this morning, but it got HOT fast so we didn't stay for too long. Plus, I've been working hard; lots of important things that I've had to get done. So I'll be at my desk eating pens and shuffling papers until this job is done. But since it's your birthday, don't work too hard and have some fun.

Wedding and the Park
We went to our cousin, Mindy's wedding last Friday. She married Matthew Petersen. Both are from the area so the reception was HUGE! One of the partner's from Steve's accounting firm was there, my old boss from the law firm was there, Steve's old boss from a previous summer was there, and lots more people aside from just family.
There cake was very different from any that I have seen. Only one layer was actually cake. They served another cake for everyone to eat and they served ice cream in a martini glasses rimmed with sugar with a wafer cookie in it. Yum!
Here is a bum shot for ya. Such a cutie.
Then on Wednesday, Rebecca and I went to the park with our friend's Mardee and Cadence. Mardee was babysitting a little friend named Max. RJ loved the swing and so did Cadence, but it just put Max to sleep.

Who's in Control?
Rebecca loves the controller. She constantly is trying to scratch it out of your hand. The dvd controller (what she is holding) is the perfect size for her...it fits great in her mouth. She is doing very well at sitting up, but not wonderful...
She is also starting to do the army crawl. She can make it about a foot. She rolls if she has to go farther. We gave her rice cereal last night for FHE. We stripped her down and for a good cause too. It was all over her and the counter. Afterwards, we had bath time to get her all cleaned up.
Elder Perkins - Punching the Devil
Hey everybody.
I hate this stupid myldsmail garbage cause there's a clock counting down in the corner telling me how much time I have left, so I'm all panicky and writing sloppily.
The past week has been great. I'm used to it now, and I really dig the MTC. My companion is a cool cat and I love my district even though hanging out with them is how I imagine spending all your time with a gang of baboons must be.
Let's see, what are some highlights from this week?
On Wednesday we had service duty early in the morning. While I was putting brooms and spray bottles back in the custodial closet I snagged a couple of work order forms. I filled them out with Elder Simons's, Elder Platt's, Elder Cline's, and Elder Martineau's names on them, telling them that their earlier service was unacceptable and that they were to return to a non-existent room in a building across campus to report for duty. They totally bought it, and after chasing the wild goose for a while, came back and thought that our zone leaders had set the whole thing up. It was hilarious. They still don't know it was me, and I won't tell them until I'm safely in a different country.
I participated in my first tie trade this week. I lost a mediocre tie and gained a mediocre tie. Meh. Speaking of ties, I still haven't worn the same tie twice and I've probably got another week or two's worth. I think it'd be great to wear a tie every day of the MTC, so if anybody finds any cheap, cool ones at DI or something lemme have em.
Spanish is coming along well. Si.
Gym is awesome. My companero was on the BYU track team and my District leader was on the BYU football team. Because I hang out with them all the time I'm lifting weights and running almost every day. That almost makes up for all the cafeteria food. The other day at gym we played softball in the temple field. I totally owned everyone. Everyone except Elder San Nicolas, that is. He played in college. I did hit a home run though. I had a ton of fun, and I really regret that I didn't play in high school or something. Except if I had done that I would have had to drive a Ford F150 and scratch myself much more than I did.
No punk and no reggae is hard, but I'm starting to really dig the old Ludwig Van. Everyone listen to some Minor Threat and Toots & the Maytals for me. Thanks to everyone for all the letters I've gotten, but no thanks to Mat6t and Kamalei. You guys are the lousiest friends ever. -PSYCH! but then psych that psych. right.
Mom, instead of epguanuna try ep_guanuna@hotmail.com. I think that should do it. Also will someone forward this to Evelyn C? That'd be tight.
I can't respond to emails from anyone other than family, so if anyone wants to hear more from me write me at

Well that's all I've got and my time is running low, so I've got to log off. The chocolate milk is good, the Church is true.
Don't break edge,
Nate
