The Stars at Night are Big and Bright...

*CLAP*CLAP*CLAP*

Deep in the Heart of Texas!!!!

Here is the capitol in Austin, TX.

Inside the capitol RJ headed straight to the Treasury which made Daddy very proud of his little girl!

This is the inside of the dome of the capitol. Around the star it says Texas in case you didn't catch that.

This is the floor underneath the dome. It represents the six flags over Texas. They are (in no particular order) Spain, France, Republic of Texas, United States, The Confederacy, and Mexico.

Here we are in front of the Alamo in San Antonio. It was awesome inside, but they didn't allow any pictures, sorry. There was a ton of graffiti on the walls from the 1800's and early 1900's.

On "Vacation"

Does a stay at home mom ever really get a vacation? I guess I don't have to clean up or cook, but I feel like I am a better daughter if I help. Not to mention you still have your kid to take care of. Anyways, enjoy pictures from RJ's 1st birthday and the Palmer Christmas party. I miss my Palmer family...especially those wonderful sisters, and I miss those great friends in California too! Merry Christmas Everyone!

I found it!

This is one of my most favorite teas and it is only around for the holiday season. It can sometimes be a little difficult to find. But last night, I was shopping at Target to get everything needed for the Palmer Family Christmas Party on Saturday and I just happened across it! It wasn't where the normal tea was it was on a side shelf, but on the back side. I bought two boxes. So wonderful!!!

Holiday Grump

I tried to get a picture on Sunday of Rebecca in her dress with her adorable bow on her head. She was too quick for me! She has been so grumpy lately, but I don't actually think its the holidays. It is so easy to blame everything on teething. She doesn't have a runny nose or fever, so I don't think she is sick. No digestive issues that I can tell from the changing of a diaper. So therefore, it must be teething, right? Its so hard because they can't tell you and its hard to see. Poor little booger.

Strolling

We were at the mall last night. Rebecca loved pushing
the stroller around, and we got such a kick out of it!

Practice makes perfect, but I'm not sure what this is

I was singing happy birthday and practicing blowing out the candle with Rebecca so she would know what to do come Saturday for her birthday. But she really didn't get the whole blowing out the candle thing, but it is only the first day at this. We've got the whole week to work on it.

My Little Boy

Rebecca had a leaky diaper when we went over to see Crissie and the boys on Thursday night. So Crissie got Rebecca something to wear. It was a little bit big. But she is still so cute!

Christmas Spirit

How much fun is this?!! The past two days I've made cranberry cinnamon scones, pumpkin butter, caramels, granola bars that turned out more like granola crumble, and peppermint bark of course!

Rebecca got really excited about all the Christmas excitement too!

Girl Cousins Rock!

On Saturday the 17th, Rebecca Joy and Baby Dayne played so well together! I took tons of pictures. They are so cute together. It just got me thinking about how wonderful girl cousins are!

This picture is from the Summer of 1996, my cousin Caitlin and I. We are on the hammock at our Grammie's house in the side yard. The hammock is from Costa Rica, where my cousin and her family had been living for awhile.

My Plants

So I have herbs growing out on my balcony. They are on the verge of dying, or at least I think they are. However, the basil blossomed in the past few weeks. And Steve whipped out the camera in time to take a video of this....

Rock-a-by Baby!

The clean clothes laundry basket was right underneath the rocking chair. Rebecca crawled into the basket than up onto the rocking chair. Soon after I finished the video. She crawled up onto the rocking chair, then over onto the couch! We have since moved the laundry basket.

Shake It!

This video here is of James shaking his body. I took this video Friday night (11/2) when everyone was at John and AJ's because the boys (the adult boys) were helping Rich and Ashley with the move.

Being Green?

So I'm not very green. But there is this swap that is to make/buy tote bags to replace the plastic grocery bags. There have been a lot of tote bags that you can buy at Target or grocery store and then use those every time. I'm cheap because I see those totes and I think "I don't want to spend the money on those bags." Though we are spending money on the bags we use with everything we buy from the store. My mother-in-law has a few of those bags and they seem to come in very handy. She seems to always being toting one around with her, especially in the summer. Furthermore, I'm not sure if I'm ready to replace my plastic bags. I reuse them as trash bags for diapers. I don't use just the normal trash because diapers need to be taken out faster than we fill up our normal trash. Anyways, the point is that there are patterns on this swap page for making a tote. Specifically pattern 2 is awesome! It gives step by step instructions on how to make a tote that actually folds up into itself in this little pocket on the outside of it. So now I just need to find someone willing to do this with me. A holiday project to make a tote. But I won't do this swap, maybe another one.

The Joys of Teeth

Rebecca has been climbing into the clean clothes basket. And you may have noticed the wet marks on the blue sheet. That would be were Rebecca Joy was biting the sheet. But we noticed yesterday evening that Rebecca is getting another set of teeth in! Her top ones right next to the two front teeth are poking through.

This second picture is pretty funny with her buck teeth! I love it!

Happy Halloween

We went down to Livermore to trick or treat with Baby Dayne and Crewe and Little Bear (aka Clara). The two girls were tired when we got back from all that crazy trick or treating. But they did very good staying up late.

I got pictures today, from our friends, that are from Sept. 15, 2007 when Steve took Rebecca Joy wakeboarding for her first time.
Rebecca is holding hands with her boyfriend, Max.

Ribs, Pumpkin, and TWO!

Steve took Grandma, Grandpa, RJ and I to Texas Roadhouse in Tracy, CA on Saturday. I had been sick for 4 days and starving the whole time. Rebecca LOVED the ribs, rolls, and sweet potato.

Then after dinner, we went back to Livermore for the Trunk or Treat. We went with Rich, Ashley, Crewe and Dayne (as well as granma and grandpa). Rebecca got to wear her costume for the first time.

Then Sunday night, Steve got the mail and in it came the second dolly. I bought another off of Ebay so we could have a back up to the ORIGINAL. Rebecca was so delighted to have TWO dollys. She hugged, cuddled, bit, and played with them both. My I love that cute little baby of mine.
