I gave Rebecca grapes cut in half. As you know she loves to squish things with her pointer finger. She points it out and applies pressure. You can see in the two grapes on the left side the size of her little finger. I love it! The other one is just smashed. I think she just kept squishing it.

Cardmaking & Babies
This week has been crazy! I have two friends who both had baby boys this week. The past two days I have babysat twice, made dinner for four, and made 3 cards along with all normal mommy things.

In 5 Days!
I finished a cardigan for Rebecca in 5 days! I was so excited about it, that I couldn't put it down.
It's a tad bit big, but oh well.

Hanging Out with Friends
Saturday we hung out with some friends down in Livermore. This is Rebecca sitting on a stool at their house.
Then yesterday, we went to The Jungle to play with friends. They have a 3 year old and under area for the little kids to play on jungle gym stuff which is so handy when it is cold and rainy outside.

What Holly Means
By the way, this is all very true. There may be some items left out, like super cool and good looking to name a few, but for the most part this is right on!
What Holly Means
You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out. Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia. Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person. You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.
At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.
You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

Two Crafty Nights
Tuesday night I did a scrapbooking night with my sister-in-law Ashley and her friends. It was at her friends house in Danville. I got two more months of Rebecca's scrapbook done. Only 5 more months to go!!
Then last night, I went to a women's house in my ward named Mica. It was a stampin' up get together. We made these cute valentine's treats and card. The three little things in the cello bag are peppermint patties.

January 6th
Every new year, church schedule changes. In the past, it wasn't too big of a deal, but having a child, it changes everything! Rebecca would not go down for a nap before our now 1pm church. So we took her to church, where she would not fall asleep because to much was going on. She fell asleep on our 2 minute drive home and she was OUT! She didn't wake up when I was unbuckling her. But I didn't want her to sleep for 3 hours and then be awake from 9pm to midnight. So, I laid her down on her Dora couch.
And there she slept for 30 minutes. 12 months old and only a 30 minute nap!

What does your name mean?
You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned
many things in your life. You are also a keeper of
knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread
gossip. People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof,
but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to
them.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along
with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the
boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible.
But for the important things, you pull it together.
You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the
flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't
get worked up easily.Well adjusted and incredibly
happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get
you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You
have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly.
You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You
have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount
of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you
finish the projects you start.

Only 3 months late on reporting this...
Last October (Saturday October 6, 2007 to be exact), Al and I competed in the Longhorn Triathlon. We had to swim 0.5 of a mile, bike 12 miles, and run 3.1 miles with minimal rest time in between. So, here it is.
First, we arrived at the crack of dawn to register, get marked, and rack our bikes. After a brief pre-race meeting at 7:15 am, everyone headed over to where the swim would begin.
We were totally feeling the pre-race jitters. Lots of nervous energy. Then they started the swimming waves (since we were first-timers, my wave was second-to-last; Al's wave was last). Check out the scene when the Olympic distance competitors hit the water (swim 0.9 mile, bike 25, run 6.2).
Here we are waiting for our wave.
(Left to right) Me, Al, Steven (friend of Al's), Shannon (friend/co-worker of Al who will be a bridesmaid), and Shannon's father
Shannon and Allison about to enter the water
So we did our swim, biked the biking portion (who says Texas is flat? Our course sure wasn't...), and somehow finished the run. It was exhausting, exhilerating, and exciting all at the same time. Here I am finishing the competition.
WE ARE TOTALLY HOOKED ON TRIATHLONS (at least I am). The next season starts in March, so I'm already looking forward to it. Stay tuned for more of these in the next several months...

Christmas Presents
Christmas Morning. Rebecca checking out the presents that I opened for her. Her favorite present was definitely the Dora couch! The first picture is of her on it Christmas morning. The second picture is back at home in Walnut Creek lounging away.
Cuttlebug. So wonderful! Cannot wait to actually use it for scrapbooking as opposed to just testing it out. I've been watching on ebay for die cuts to use!
