Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas morning centered around this little spoiled girl. She got a princess table and chairs, a Belle dress, and way too much more! We're deep frying our turkey and hanging out with family. Hope everyone else has a wonderful day!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

We had a birthday party for Rebecca last week with some of her friends. We played pin the tail on Swiper, colored with chalk on the sidewalk, and then jumped on bubblewrap and blew bubbles. Then had snacks and cupcakes.

Since I'm to be staying off my feet, we kept it small and I had lots of wonderful help. Thank you my wonderful friends who helped me to make the party fun!

Not doing much = little blogging

Not much to blog about when I don't do much. I have pictures I need to upload from my camera, but when energy is limited, important things take priority (like making food to eat and doing laundry and that's about all I get done at my house).

Playing with Hair

No posts lately. Rebecca has been really sick and I've just been trying to survive. She is on the mend now.

So, I used to play with my dad's hair back in the day when he had some. We would spray it with water or conditioner stuff and comb it and style it. Now my daughter is doing it to me. I didn't get pictures of my hair, but when she was playing with her own, I snapped a few shots.

We're Having A.....

Baby! And we don't know if it is a boy or girl because the baby kept its legs SHUT. The good news is that we will be having another ultrasound in about 2 weeks and we are hoping that we might be able to find out then. You wonder why I get to have another ultrasound in 2 weeks? Well I'm a lucky pregnant woman who is blessed to have contractions at 20 weeks and the only way to stop them is to keep my feet up. (Really I just fake them so I can be lazy ;) So we get to measure my cervix in 2 weeks to hope it stays a "good" length and keep me off of bedrest. Until then you will have to be content with this profile of my beautiful child.

Distressed Fairy

It is December 1st which means that Scraptivity has their December kit available!! Here are two projects I have made. The first is the December Sketch Layout and mine is Distressed Fairy. The second is a CAS card. I just love how this card came together! I'll being posting more later!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I was thinking this morning that it has been 8 years since I have spent Thanksgiving with my family (9 since I was in Texas for it). I am grateful that I have been able to spend 7 of those 8 years with my husband's family (1 year in UT with the Nally's.) I am grateful for all my family and friends. I hope you all (ya'll) have a great Thanksgiving!!

Baby Poll

New to us

Craigslist is wonderful. We got a new snake cage last week. Steve sanded and painted it and got it already for us to be able to buy Copper. We used our nightstands to put it on, so we needed a dresser for our room. We found an estate sale, last Saturday, that had the perfect dresser and for a GREAT price! Things are a little more crowded in our living room, but we LOVE it!

More Saturday Fun

Merry Christmas to me! Saturday we went to a garage sale and we went home with a piano. Rebecca loves to play it and so do I. Thank you my loving husband and thank you John for helping move it.

We Love Copper.

We bought a new snake yesterday. Her name is Copper! She is a Dumeril Boa. She also was a rescue, like Basil, but she is nice. She has been under fed, so she is skinny, but she is healthy.

We also got a new snake cage. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Batman, Superman, a Knight and a Princess

Halloween night about to go trick or treat with their dads. We've got Batman, a Knight and a Princess. And Superman and the Princess down below. The mom's stayed back with the 6 week old baby and handed out candy to the kids coming by. Rebecca had a wonderful time with her cousins and takes after her mom, by running from door to door faster than the boys. I guess they would lallygag, but not my girl. No wasting time when their is candy to get. She filled up her whole pumpkin bucket!

November Kit for S!

November Kit for Scraptivity is released today!! You can check it out here. Here are the projects I made with it. The first is a banner I made for my sister in law, and this box below for it to go in.

I made this good luck card with the cool Makins texture sheets and Core'dinations cardstock that are included in the kit. Plus I just love the Ace charm!

Two layouts. This first is a picture I took back in 2001 as a freshman in college. I loved the way the snow looked, but maybe it's just because I was a Texan living in a place that had lots of snow. Anyways, the bottom of this 8x8 layout actually has a paper ruffle border, but scanning it didn't show it off so well (so this little picture I hope is better.)

This second layout is from the November Kit Sketch. I used the Makins texture plate to stamp across the center of my background. I really love how this lo turned out.

Preschool Halloween Party

Rebecca's class had a Halloween party filled with lots of activities and treats. She made a bracelet, stamped a ghost, put stickers on her treat bag, and played. It was fun!
