Shape It Up! - GRS DT Challenge

Gourmet Rubber Stamps DT Challenge for August was to use shapes. As I was blog surfing early this week I came across a sketch challenge by Clean & Simple Stamping that I thought would be fun. After I made the card, I realized it was PERFECT for the this shape challenge for GRS.

World's Best Teacher!

I got my stamps! I knew I wanted to use Old School first because school starts tomorrow here! This is a super simple Thank you card for a teacher. So quick to put together and cute! I used watercolor pencils to color the badge stamp because I wanted to keep it soft. I remembered I had an apple brad from a $1 bin at Target, it definitely gives it a bright pop of color.

Day Filled with Flowers

I totally made this card for the CASual Friday challenge to make a square card, but was unable to get it up in time :(   I find this card interesting. I had an idea in my head, it evolved as I created it. AND I hate when I stamp something crooked (when I first stamped the sentiment) so then I had to cover that up *blush*. Then I added some ribbon and gems and another layer. Love the final product though! Have a happy Thursday!

Gourmet Rubber Stamps August Diner's Kit Release!! Woo hoo! There are some super cute summer stamps in this one. Love it!

Things are still super crazy here at my new house that is still not unpacked (double negative, I know). So I decided to go with a Clean & Simple card. I also decided to go with CASuals Friday challenge of using lime, aqua, and navy. My green is more green than lime, but oh well.
