So Close Now...

We signed the closing documents a few days ago for this cute little blue house. We are so close now and so excited!!

Plants

With the help of RJ, we are growing some plants. We have some Sugar Snap Peas and some Yellow Squash growing in our backyard. The sugar snap peas are very yummy. The squash is not ready yet.

Happiness is...

New to us

Craigslist is wonderful. We got a new snake cage last week. Steve sanded and painted it and got it already for us to be able to buy Copper. We used our nightstands to put it on, so we needed a dresser for our room. We found an estate sale, last Saturday, that had the perfect dresser and for a GREAT price! Things are a little more crowded in our living room, but we LOVE it!

More Saturday Fun

Merry Christmas to me! Saturday we went to a garage sale and we went home with a piano. Rebecca loves to play it and so do I. Thank you my loving husband and thank you John for helping move it.

My Garden

Last Thursday I planted a garden. Three tomato plants I bought at Costco and 4 watermelon plants I grew from seeds (which I find amazing that they have lived so long!) 2 of the 4 watermelon plants are already looking kind of pitiful, and only partly because of the transplant. Hopefully the more plants I kill the more I learn to not kill more in the future...hopefully.

Planter/Play Box

Grandpa Jensen made me great planter boxes. RJ thought thinks they are great to play in. Set up all the dollys and babies to sit along the edge.

Picnic in our Backyard!

It is awesome having a house! I am truly loving it. Also the weather has been amazing the past few days. So yesterday and today, Rebecca and I have been having picnic lunches in our backyard. She plays in the backyard until it is ready and after washing hands, we lay out blankets or towels. I bring out lunch on my cutting board, and we sit and eat! All 3 dollys joined our picnic yesterday too. It has been a lot of fun and the weather is just gorgeous!

Here is Steve with the Uhaul Saturday morning (Dec. 13th). He's out in the street that way because he was going to back up the Uhaul into our driveway.

Here is Steve and I in our new home on Friday night after cleaning, painting, and an overall stressful day. We are so grateful for our home!

We Moved!

Just wait until we have had time to make this even better! I've already started hacking away at the overgrown bushes out front and I'm going to repaint the screen door. I have to pace myself with the things I can't wait to do with my OWN home! We love it! The neighborhood is very nice too. We've had multiple people come introduce themselves. This couple who lives a couple houses up the street stopped by while I was hacking away at the bushes and introduced themselves and welcomed us. They also informed us that there is a family two doors up with teenage daughters and they are great babysitters. Good girls who make good grades. They were a very nice couple. She had just had heart surgery so she couldn't ride in the front seat, so she calls her husband Jeeves, because he is chauffering her around.
