I was in need of birthday cards, so I decided to use this stamp I just bought from a friend. Freshly inked and new paper and products too! I got these Basic Grey things from my mother (my best shopper). ATU's challenge this week is to bust out stamps that haven't been used. TFL!

Friday night Rebecca and I had a date. We went to Berkeley for a ballet performance by BBT's youth. We got all dressed up for the occassion and had a wonderful time.

More from Nina's 1st Year

I just finished up two more pages for Nina's book for her first year. Throughout the book is a fruit theme with these bright fun colors. And Unity's challenge this month is Tooty Fruity! so the page for the month of July totally works for it! Awesome!

I'm the Birthday Girl

Digital scrapbook page I made of Nina on her birthday. I made the page from a sketch from PageMaps. They are having their 5 year anniversary and have a challenge running.

Then you turn around the other way and see this. I'm grateful to have a temple nearby. I love going to the temple. I don't love leaving my lights on while I'm there and having a dead battery when I get out. But it was so good to go again.

Grandpa's Funeral

While in Texas I did some scrapping with my mother. She wanted to work on this book she started 10 years earlier from her father's funeral. It has pictures, the program, and cards from people that she received. We were able to finish it up. The first picture is all their grandchildren taken from the open house at my grandparent's house just after my grandpa's funeral. I'm in the back holding a baby and the short one, not wearing purple.

Life's a Beach

Working on more scrapbook pages. This one I did for Scrapbooker's Anonymous' May Challenge which is to use your stamps. I had to make a patterned paper with stamps and 3 embellishments. The puprle paper I stamped and then the 3 embellies are the tag and two of the bubble stickers (one says explore journey, and the other is the pink and purple flower).

The title and matching beach embellies are by JoLee's boutique, the paper is Colorbok and the left bubble sticker is too. Stamps are Unity, ink is Staz-on, cardstock is DCWV, and ribbon is Making Memories.

I did this card for a couple of challenges. The first is the Unity KOTM challenge. Inside I stamped the sentiment from the same KOTM which is stated above. I took a picture, but it turned out blurry.

I also used flower soft on it to give it texture to use for the ATU challenge #30 for this week "Get Felt Up". (yeah that's right :)

Also, I used the scraps from a scrapbook LO I made this week and used a stamp on it, so I can use it for Scrapbooker's Anonymous' card challenge.

Snake Farm & Animal World

Steve and I had a mini trip just the two of us while in Texas. We went to the Snake Farm and Animal World in New Braunfels.
