The cake cutting and the food.

One last day of pictures of Julie's Wedding and I'll be ready for my next scrapbook pictures, hopefully!

Here is pages 8 and 9. Jared sang Close to You at the wedding. There is a big journaling box that goes on page 9 that I left empty for Julie to fill in and then adhere.

These are pages 6 and 7, exchanging of the rings.

More Julie's Wedding Album

I haven't had anything to post lately. So I thought I would more pics up of my Aunt's wedding album I made. This is page 4 and 5 in the album. Page 5 is probably one of my favorites, but I don't think it looks that great here, better in real life. The next pages (tomorrow) are one of my favorites because of the pictures!

Also for anybody who wants a great laugh (that is family friendly), I got some links for you. To start it off is Beyonce's Single ladies music video (if you haven't seen it, to give you the ground work for the other two clips): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mVEGfH4s5g&feature=related
Next is Justin Timberlake SNL clip (if you missed it): http://www.fastclips.com/videos/Xb66LQ8x73jH
And last, but definitely not least, my friend Mardee made a clip starring her beautiful daughter Cadence and friends, plus guest starring her husband and friend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdlCwqbLpNk&eurl=http://spencerandmardee.blogspot.com/2009/01/all-single-ladies-for-nor.html&feature=player_embedded
Enjoy!

I saw this license plate that says " I cure ya" thought it was funny. I thought my mom needs one that says something like "I drug ya."

Funny picture I took of RJ. She was putting on some of my lipgloss.

Who eats dinner at 4pm? I know we eat early at 5. We had scheduled two dinner guests this evening and they could come at 4. My husband isn't home from work at 4. Are there many who have husbands home by 4? I know there are some. But these guests can't come unless my husband is here. So now I have 12 lbs. of brisket cooking away in my oven and no dinner guests.

Anybody want to come over for dinner?
I also will have homemade bread (I'll take a pic later and put it up for you.)

Haircut

I've been hearing it from a lot of people that RJ needs a haircut. So that's what we did this morning.
Holly, you need to get married and have a baby girl so you can do this! It is so much fun! Instead of cutting your hair every week, you can cut your daughters.
I cut about 3 1/2 inches, in the longer parts. So I'm by no means the perfect hair dresser, though I have had practice on Holly's hair and on my own bangs. But I don't think it turned out too bad!

Fingerless

I whipped out a pair of these fingerless gloves early this week. But now it has warmed up, that I probably won't wear them out of the house, until a cold front comes through. I feel so 80's with them on.

Picnic in our Backyard!

It is awesome having a house! I am truly loving it. Also the weather has been amazing the past few days. So yesterday and today, Rebecca and I have been having picnic lunches in our backyard. She plays in the backyard until it is ready and after washing hands, we lay out blankets or towels. I bring out lunch on my cutting board, and we sit and eat! All 3 dollys joined our picnic yesterday too. It has been a lot of fun and the weather is just gorgeous!

RJ

These letters were a present to Rebecca from her Great-Aunt Julie, not to be confused with Rebecca's Aunt Julie. They were one of the first things put up after Christmas. I think they are just adorable!

After Christmas Lights

We were driving around the other night and I found a scrapbook store. It's not as wonderful as My Daughter's Wish (which closed) but its decent. Anyways, while we were driving there were these green arrows in people's lawn down this one street, so we turn to find what they are pointing to. This house is all lit up! There is normally a Santa but he leaves at 6pm and it was 7. The owner came out while we were there. He said we can take as many pictures as we went. There was also hot chocolate and cookies and a place to donate for the Contra Costa food bank. He said he has been doing this for 8 years. Pretty cool!

Lasagna Dinner

Gotta go topless when eating lasagna. I also put a headband in her hair, but she had to take it out and do it herself. Pretty cute.

Toby Lovin'

These pics were taken at Thanksgiving in Dallas. Toby is Matt and Allison's dog. My parents let him up on the bed, which normally he is not allowed to do. But apparently it was pretty funny because it is a water bed!

My Sweater

Here is a sweater for me that I finished this week. I started it about a year ago and before I moved in Aug. all I had left was to sew up one side. I joined a knitting group and went for the first time Wed. night and finished my sweater there. It was lots of fun!

Also, on Julie's blog are pics from Christmas Eve with all the Palmers and some Van Leeuwen's too.

MFT's January Release Blog Hop!

I'm so excited to be apart of MFT's Release Hop Around the Blog this January! Thanks Kim!! You should be joining me from Toni's blog, if not you can start at the beginning by going to MFT's blog.

So in April, out of 178 comments, my idea was chosen for a new stamp set and Good Knight is the production of my idea. This kit has been fun to play with and I can think of so many other things I could do with it!

First is a birthday card for my nephew! I originally thought of this set for boys, but the sentiments with this set can make it versatile to use for men, too.

My next project is an 8x8 scrapbook page "Our New Castle." We just bought our first home 3 weeks ago and it has been a very exciting time with the holidays, family, and moving!

Thanks again Kim! Now my time in the spot light is over and next up is Joy! Thanks for stopping by!!

more of christmas

This is the print Steve got me for Christmas. It is Isabella by James Christensen, and this is the exact framing and mating of it. It came yesterday and it is so beautiful!

Here is our Christmas tree with Rebecca's kitchen set up the night before Christmas. Thanks Bebe and Bear for the kitchen!

New Years and a Pic for Dan and Whitney

So we were pretty boring for New Year's. We watched the Dark Knight, which we thought was good. We don't have cable, so we didn't do any count downs. Didn't see any friends. Really low key and I think it was our best one yet. Steve always reminds me not to yell at him because our first new years together he tried to wake me up and kiss me and I (completely asleep) yelled at him.

Anyways, my New Year's resolution for this year is to use what I have. After having moved and going through boxes of stuff I haven't seen for 4 months, I have realized I have a lot of STUFF. Some of it I really missed, other stuff I can do with out. So I am going to use my hair products, make-up, yarn, scrapbook supplies, notebooks, pens, and whatever else I've been hording before I buy more of it.

Picture below is for my friends Dan and Whitney (whom I miss and am excited to see when they get back from their trip and YOU BETTER CALL ME, or just let me know your home and I will call). While we were driving over the holidays with my family I saw this truck and HAD to have a picture. I am driving, so I pull out my camera for my dad to take a picture, but it was too far away. Then we hit a red light and we passed the camera back to my mom to take. The truck was stopped behind another car and I didn't have a car in front of me, so I am stopped way far behind the line so my mom can take the picture. The guy driving the truck noticed everyone watching and maybe even the flash. I looked over and smiled at him as I checked the picture to make sure it was good. He probably thought we were pretty crazy. I got a kick out of the whole thing.

Christmas present

My aunt got married in September of 2008. She was supposed to have it at a park, but the hurricane decided to come through that day. By the time it reached Dallas, it was just super windy and tons of rain (not a hurricane), but not great for a wedding. Anyways, my mom had a great idea to make her a scrapbook of her wedding, especially when we found this awesome paper that was very fairy tale inspired. So I made a scrapbook of 14 pages in a little over 2 months (which is a record for me!) Here are the first 3 pages.
