White Bean and Grape Salad with Garlic Parmesan Dressing

So I had a salad one time when I was passing through San Francisco International Airport that I had picked up at the Napa Farms place there. It was fantastic! I like that it is very different than the salads I have had. I love that it has grapes and beans. It has such different flavors going on and I love it!
I have tried to re-create it a couple of times and this was pretty close (as far as I can remember).
So the salad itself is easy. Get some:

Lettuce (red leaf pictured here)
White Beans (pictured is canned Great Northern, but whatever white bean you like)
Red grapes, cut in half
Sun Dried Tomatoes (pictured here are Trader Joe's, I prefer those that come dry, not packed in oil, but they will work just fine, just make sure to add less dressing)
Parmigiano Reggiano (the real stuff is pictured or you can fake it)

Now, the first time I bought dressing. Some Newman's Own Garlic Parmesan something or other. Good. but this is Better! I hodge podged a couple of recipes and I made it according to my taste. It came out like this:
3/4 c. Olive Oil
6 or so garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbl dried Basil
1 tsp dried oregano
salt and pepper to taste
4 - 6 splashes of red wine vinegar
1 Tbl Lemon juice
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 heaping TBL of parm (green can kind)
oh and a sprinkling of sugar
and a squirt of spicy brown mustard (not much for me)

So to keep from having to wait hours for the herbs to get their flavor into the oil. Heat it up! Put the oil on your stove over medium and add the garlic. Let it warm and don't let it get too hot. Add the basil and oregano and salt and peppa. Turn off heat and the rest of the ingredients. Make sure to shake well before using.

Release Date! Prescription for Spring!

This March Diner's Club set is too cute! To find out more about the Diner's Club click here.
I just love this little bandaid with a heart! So I used it as my background paper and stamped the prescription pad with the prescription in it. Love it! I also colored with my copic markers. I have a whole 5 markers and I actually had the right kind of colors.
Inside I stamped that bandaid again. Love it! Don't forget to check out what the other DT members created!

Such a cute stamp set!! Oh my! These stamps are from Once Upon a Time by Gourmet Rubber Stamps! So cute! I love the little floral corner and the princess is just adorable and crying out to be paper pieced. Cute! (Apparently I still can't get over how cute they are, even though I have had them in my possession for a few weeks now.)

Spring is Finally Here

Small Easter/Spring card that I made this week. It is just that season and I'm loving these colors. I really like the swiss dots embossing folder for the top part and the white on white with the banner sentiment. This card is in my etsy shop here Spring East Card - Flowers Blue Yellow Green.

My Color Book

I made this color book to help me utitlize my coloring agents better while crafting. It shows my ink pads, markers, paints, sprays, glitter glues and liquid pearls. I organized by color and a tab on the side for easy access, and then I used my bind-it-all to bind it together. I used the star stamp from Oh Christmas Tree set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps.

Forever my Sister

I made this notebook back in December, but I don't think I ever shared it! The stamp is from GRS Diner's Club Kit from December Let's Celebrate. I love this sentiment! I paired it with a crochet flower I got from etsy and a circle of gems. The goal was for it to be very girly. One of my favorite parts is that the inside is PINK lined paper! I have this up in my etsy shop Notebook - Purple Pink Sister Friend.

February GRS DT Challenge

Hi! So the fun challenge for this month was to make a 6x6 recipe. I made a mistake! I did an 8x8! Whoops! I love this Ground Turkey Lettuce Wrap recipe and thought it would be a perfect one to have in my collection! I used the Original stamp from the December 2011 Diner's Club kit and then a swirly from So Swirly. The papers are by Cosmo Cricket Early Bird. Thanks for looking and don't forget to stop by the other DT members (links on the right side).

Valentine's Wish

I made some cute little princess Valentine tags with the GRS set A Little Love. These little girls are just so cute! I grabbed anything pink, red, or purple and made these tags. Had to use some glitter and then I used a heart brad for the wand. Love em!

Would love honest comments on what you think of my new border I'm trying out on this pic. Too much? or just blah?
