November Kit for S!

November Kit for Scraptivity is released today!! You can check it out here. Here are the projects I made with it. The first is a banner I made for my sister in law, and this box below for it to go in.

I made this good luck card with the cool Makins texture sheets and Core'dinations cardstock that are included in the kit. Plus I just love the Ace charm!

Two layouts. This first is a picture I took back in 2001 as a freshman in college. I loved the way the snow looked, but maybe it's just because I was a Texan living in a place that had lots of snow. Anyways, the bottom of this 8x8 layout actually has a paper ruffle border, but scanning it didn't show it off so well (so this little picture I hope is better.)
This second layout is from the November Kit Sketch. I used the Makins texture plate to stamp across the center of my background. I really love how this lo turned out.

Preschool Halloween Party

Rebecca's class had a Halloween party filled with lots of activities and treats. She made a bracelet, stamped a ghost, put stickers on her treat bag, and played. It was fun!

Halloween Treat Bags

I made some Halloween treat bags for Rebecca's teachers. They are filled up with yummy mini muffins. Tomorrow is Rebecca's Halloween party and I thought I would give these to her teachers to say thank you. I love this adorable paper by Heidi Grace from the Jeepers Creepers collection. It is shimmery and glittery and lovely!!

My mini muffin recipe was going to be Pumpkin Apple Struesel Muffins, but I ended up not having pureed pumpkin in my cupboard. However, I had sweet potato apple baby food that I used instead. They are delicious!

Carving a Pumpking

Tonight we went out and bought a pumpkin. Dad carved and RJ helped. She was scared to put her hand in and pull out pumpkin guts. Thanks Dad! You are wonderful!
Also I made pumpkin seeds tonight....SO TASTY!

Back from Two Weeks in Texas

Heaven on earth, that is what Texas is. I spent a wonderful two weeks there with friends and family. I took barely any pictures. This one is RJ on top of the whale. This whale is at Medical City in Dallas. My mom worked there from when I was a child until I was in college. I remember going to see her and playing on this whale. Now I have pictures of my daughter playing on the whale (so fun!)
Some Highlights:
-I celebrated my mom's birthday while I was there, by going to Benihana's and playing Whirlyball!
-I got to eat at Pei Wei, Jason's Deli, a sandwhich place call Firehouse Subs (yummy!), and Rudy's!
-Had professional pics of RJ taken in her Halloween costume and Christmas dress.
-Went to my friend's wedding at the Dallas Temple, and the dinner before at Maggianno's!
-Lots of shopping.
-Heard lots of thunderstorms and saw lots of rain.
