Lots of Rain

We've been having lots of rain lately. Rebecca kept wanting to go out and play while she was sick, but I didn't want her out there in the cold rain. But daddy let her go out the other day. Is there a little something peeking out below that sweatshirt?
Dad's are wonderful!

Digital Quick Page

A quick page is a digital scrapbook page someone else has already put together. You add pictures, title, journaling, and maybe a little more. Here are 3 quick pages I did the other day.

The quick pages are a Meisies Doodles Quick page made by Charne using Subtle Shift, Tickle Me Fancy, and A New Chapter by Gypsy Couture.

Scripture Challenge 2010

I decided almost 2 weeks ago that I was going to do a scripture challenge that is hosted by Patter on her blog Triple the Scraps. Every two weeks we have a different word to study. The first word was hope. Along with this word to study, you make a page/card with the scriptures you choose. I decided to make a little 6x6 album and journal my study experience. So on the back of this hope page is my writings (thoughts and feelings) about what I studied and read. I so fa
r have found this to be a very fun way to change up how I study and to incorporate with my love of
papercrafting. I also thought it would be a nice thing for my posterity.

Playing with Bling Dominoes

For Christmas Rebecca got Bling Dominoes. I don't know why, but I think they are so cool and beautiful. Uncle Matt has been coming over in the afternoons to play with Rebecca. They had fun building towers and knocking them over.
Thanks Matt for you help!

This made me laugh...

but you may not, unless you read a lot of fine print. I got an email from Enterprise Rent-a-Car. For whatever reason, aka bored, I decided to read the email. I can get a free double upgrade. woo hoo. I have no reason to rent a car. Anyways, I go down to read the fine print, in case for some reason I want to find a reason to rent a car. This was the fine print (I changed the color of the fun parts, if you want to just read those):

Hi, there. A few things to remember about our free double upgrade offer. First, it's awesome. Second, it's valid on advance reservations made for an Economy through Intermediate size vehicle at standard daily or weekly rates at participating locations within North America. Find participating locations by calling 1 800 rent-a-car. Whew. Okay. Moving on. A 26-day maximum applies. Rental must end on or before February 10, 2010. The upgraded car class will not appear on your reservation, but we promise it will be applied upon arrival if there's an available car in the next two higher classes — free of charge, naturally. Also, this offer can't be combined with other coupons, offers or discounted rates. As you might imagine, standard rental qualifications apply. Other restrictions, including holidays and blackout dates, may apply. Pickup and drop-off service is subject to geographic and other restrictions. What else, what else? Oh yeah: void where prohibited. Now, that wasn't so bad, was it? Reserve at enterprise.com.

Yes, I have a dry humor and find this very funny. I would read more fine print if they all made it this enjoyable.

Today is the First Day

The first day of my Third Trimester!
I have such mixed feelings about this. I woke up this morning from a rough night because I am sick. Yet finding out today that I'm now starting my third trimester I feel some hope that I might make it through this pregnancy without too much of a mental breakdown (or too many). But it does make me sad to think that this could be the last 3 months I'm pregnant, this could be my last baby. And right now in some ways that makes me happy, because I don't know if I could do this again, let alone with 2 kids to take care of. I'm so grateful for the support I have had from my husband, my family, and especially my friends who have helped watch Rebecca, as well as my friends who have helped emotionally by being there. I'm truly blessed with some wonderful people in my life.

Discover LO

I made this for the sketch challenge #7 on MME's blog. MME is My Mind's Eye, which the paper and chipboard and rub-ons are by. Except the title rub-on is by We R Memory Keepers and it is flocked! and the pearls are Kaiser craft and the flowers from my stash.

A Pretty Dress

Requirements for a dress to be "Pretty":
1. It must have spinning capabilities. No spin, it's not pretty.

Currently, that is the ONLY requirement, everything else is just icing on the cake...glitter or sparkles, multiple layers especially one that is sheer, and bows are a major plus!

Pictured are the Belle dress from Aunt Holly and the Fancy Nancy dress from Aunt Julie, both for Christmas. She is spinning in the picture with the Belle dress...in case you were wondering.

Happy Day CAS card

A CAS (clean and simple) card. I really love how this one turned out! Stamp is by Unity and the rub-ons are by Autumn Leaves. The brad is from the dollar store I think.

Glitter Fabulous

Last Tuesday I was on the computer while I thought Rebecca was playing in her room. She came out a little while later and she had glitter all over her hands. That's when I asked her what she had been doing. I ran to my third room or my scrapbooking room and I found this:

She had dumped out four things of glitter on my floor and taken a pair of scissors to a picture I was planning on scrapping of my sister and I. I have no copy (digital or otherwise) of this this picture. I was so furious about her cutting my picture. I found most of the pieces of the picture and adhered it all to a piece of white cardstock.

Scottie Dog Apron

These pics are mid-December. Rebecca and I were making chocolate peppermint cookies. She wore her new apron from Grammie. She loves licking the spatula and I have to keep telling her to wait until I'm done using it.

Christmas Tags

I did a secret sis swap with girls at church. For one of the gifts the item had to be handmade. I made her a Christmas Tag set. I made the box from this tutorial: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/tagbox/ I was super happy with how the tags and box turned out!

sorry about the bad lighting job.

For Rosa

This is my friend Rosa's brother. He visited her over Christmas. They dropped by our house just before we left to pick up my sister from the airport. Steve got the snakes out for him to hold.

Caardvarks New Year's Challenge

Card I made for the Caardvarks New Year's Challenge. Paper is Scraptivity's November Kit and stamp is JustRite. The rub-on on the inside is by Autumn Leaves.
