This top page is from Freshman year and what Roxy and I called Kid's Day. I have more pictures that I need to make another page to be on the other side, but I haven't yet. I made this page back at the beginning of the month.

This one I got to do last night. RJ is sick with a double ear infection and Steve's sick from the smoke here from all 800 something fires burning in the general greater northern california area. So I didn't go scrapbooking last night at my friend's house like I normally do, but at least I got to do some on my own.

Daddy and RJ

Here's a pictures from last month at the beach. For Father's Day I made Steve this mini book of pictures of just him and RJ. I love how it turned out!

I stitched all the pages together and I used circles and silver accents.

Some Inspiration

So there is a blog I read all the time and the lady has not blogged lately because she hasn't created anything because her mojo is "on vacation". So she is doing blog candy and I loved the picture she used for inspiration and I have one myself.

So this is a picture of a shirt of mine from Aeropostale. I love the way it looks. So this is my picture of inspiration for a card or scrapbook page or whatever you want to make.

From her inspiration I made the above card. I love how it turned out. It also is for the sketch challenge today at SCS. The stamp set is $1 at Joann's. It was just such a cute owl and funny sentiment. The paper is by Stemma from the Victorian scrap pad. Oh and the little pink ball/flower buds are SU! I got my first set from a lady who was trying to get rid of some of her stamps. I used Antique Linen Distress Ink around the edges too. TFL!

Also, there is some SU! blog candy at A Passion for Stamps.

Jelly Belly Factory

Here are a few pictures I have from the Monday we went to Jelly Belly Factory.

The Honeymoon, Part 2: Shows and Tourist Traps

Every night, our hotel put on a free show. On our second night, the show was a Michael Jackson themed show, and had Mexican performers dancing and lip synching to Michael Jackson songs. The main performer did a good job of looking like MJ. I believe for these pictures they were dancing to "Thriller."

We spent the day in the town of Playa del Carmen, a nice little touristy beach town. We walked along Avenida Cinco where all the tourists go.

Here is a shot from the street.

Me coming out of a store.

All the tourists on the street.

For lunch, we ate at Senor Frogs, which was on this fantastic beach.

Us at lunch.

It was an exhausting day, so Allison came back and put our jucuzzi tub to good use.

All said, I really liked Playa del Carmen. We discovered later in our honeymoon the non-touristy parts and I really liked the town. I would definitely stay there in the town, eat the local cuisine, and go to the beach. It was definitely a fantastic little Mexican town.

And here's a sunset to cap the night off.

bugs me

You know what bugs me, when people name things and purposely don't spell them right. Or when a non-ghetto person names something ghetto. For instance, I have this little box next to me that says "Tissue Pak". What purpose does it serve to take the 'c' out? Why not just spell it right? I understand when they change the first letter from a 'c' to a 'k' or vice versa to make it an alliteration. I don't love it, but its not as bad. For instance, Kiddie Kamp. But this is what got me on this subject. There is this stamp company I like called Unity. They made a storage system for their stamps and they wanted help to think of a name. What did they call it? Rubba Rack. What is Rubba? Do you mean Rubber? Then why not call it Rubber Rack? Does it make that much difference to call it Rubber over Rubba. And the owner is definitely not ghetto. So WHY on earth would you called it Rubba?

No posts for a week! Well Holly is in town and my parents and little brother get in tonight! We've taken Holly all around San Francisco, we went to the beach, we went to Sausalito, we've walked all over Walnut Creek too. Its been fun! Hopefully we'll get some pictures up soon. Until then, here are some cuties of RJ from exactly two weeks ago.

PEEK-A-BOO!
